Portrush

In the eighteenth century transatlantic vessels sailed from Portrush. The old harbour in Portrush has the so-called ‘Pilgrim Steps’, which are said to be the stone steps that emigrants used when boarding the small boats that took them out to the larger ocean-going ships anchored off the Skerries.
