The history hub – Growing and connecting communities digitally
We Need Your Support
As a self-sustaining charity which does not receive public funding, Ulster Historical Foundation depends on the generosity of our members, supporters and customers to continue to provide the range of services that we offer.
The Foundation also has a long history working with local community groups and various local support centres and we have a trusted team of volunteers whose contributions help bring to light genealogical records and obscure historical documents that have immense value to family historians across the world.
We feel that there is room for our volunteer programme to grow but technological limitations that were highlighted during the recent pandemic means that we are currently not in a position to do so.
But you can help.
To not only improve the services that we offer to you as a member but to also meet the demands of a post-COVID world, the Foundation urgently needs to upgrade elements of our IT equipment.
Much needed technological upgrades to our server and new computers to accommodate remote access would allow the Foundation to immediately increase the number of placements and broaden the range of experiences offered to our volunteers and will allow us to facilitate home and remote working for volunteers and staff.
We are happy to report that we have already secured £2,000 from third party contributions/donations towards our £13,000 fundraising goal and we are confident that with your support we can achieve this target.
Any contribution that you might be able to make, large or small, will be gratefully received.
