Genealogical & Historical Research Projects

The Ulster Historical Foundation has been involved in many projects over the years and worked with a range of different bodies and organisations, including local government and cultural/historical groups. In recent years, under the guidance of Research Director Dr William Roulston, the Foundation has been involved in a number of exciting heritage based projects.

These ventures have included the development of genealogical databases and websites, the creation of interpretative panels and the production of promotional leaflets. In addition Dr Roulston has worked as a consultant on television and radio programmes including a documentary for BBC Television on the Ulster Plantation. He also appeared in a twelve week series on using graveyards to explore local history produced in conjunction with the popular Radio Ulster show, ‘Your Place and Mine’.
