to provide a forum for the Irish and Scots-Irish genealogical community.

Access to members-only databases
As well as receiving 50% discount on our baptism/birth, marriage and death/burial records Guild members also have free, un-restricted access to hundreds of member-only databases, many covering the entire Island of Ireland as well as free access to over 50,000 gravestone inscriptions and to the History of the Irish Parliament biographical database
Publications
Guild members receive two annual journals – Familia: Ulster Genealogical Review and the Directory of Irish Family History Research. Guild members are welcome to make submissions for publication in Familia and the Directory.
Share your research interests
A key attraction of membership is to have your own research interests shared with other members, through our annual Directory as well as on an online searchable database. Members can place up to 6 ancestors, for free, and include names, dates, locations and occupations.

Members can visit our offices just outside Newtownards to use our research and
newspaper library. Please telephone/email ahead of your visit.

The members’ area online contains over 170 articles from previous
issues of Familia and other articles on research and guides to sources.
