New Course Dates Added

Due to the popularity of our 2017 famlly history courses the Foundation will be running three more courses in 2018:

The knowledge you gain from our family history courses will help you get to grips with research techniques, archives and genealogical sources in Ireland; provide you with the information and skills to further explore your family history and help you find your elusive Irish and Scots-Irish ancestors.

Our courses are ideal if you:

  • Have no experience with genealogy or family history research
  • Have some experience with genealogical research, but want to develop your skills and knowledge further
  • Consider yourself a more experienced genealogical researcher who wants to learn new techniques and lesser known sources.

The week-long programme will include luxury accommodation in Belle Isle Castle; gourmet evening meals; genealogy classes with the Ulster Historical Foundation's Research Director William Roulston; assisted research in the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI); visits to Ulster American Folk Park / Mellon Centre for Migration Studies and to Enniskillen Castle; as well as whiskey tasting at Belle Isle and a visit to the St Patrick's Day parade in Enniskillen.

All enquiries about the seminars should be directed to Albert and Tanya Dawson of Culture Heritage Tours Ireland by emailing:
