Mid & East Antrim Borough Council are looking to the public to come forward to help complete their Missing Names Project.
In 2013, it was realised that some local soldiers, who died in The Great War, are not honoured on the War Memorial. After extensive research, History Hub Ulster has uncovered 172 additional names. Verified names will be added to the Memorial by November 2018.
The consultation runs 25th September to 10th November 2017.
There are two ways you can help:
Online
You can view the existing list of the Fallen and the criteria required on History Hub Ulster’s website: historyhubulster.co.uk/ballymena-district-fallen/
Should you consider that your relative is missing from this list please complete the online form.
In Person
You are welcome to call into one of our drop-in sessions. A list of the set criteria and access to the Fallen database will be available to browse. Drop-in dates are the 26th and 28th of October in The Braid, Bridge Street, Ballymena, from 10am to 1pm.
