How to submit your Research Interests

Guild members can submit up to six research interests for inclusion in the Directory of Irish Family History Research which is posted each year to our members. In addition these interests are listed in a searchable members-only database on our website.

When posting research interests please use the abbreviations that are available in a downloadable PDF. Try to be as specific as possible. If you are not sure where in Ireland a particular ancestor came from put ‘Ire.’ In the Information box.

In the box for Dates even if you are not sure of when your ancestor was born or died put approximate dates or at the very least a year in which you know your ancestor was alive.
