Research Services

The Ulster Historical Foundation has fifty years of experience in dealing with family history enquiries and is widely regarded as the principal genealogical research agency in Ireland. It provides a professional and comprehensive service for the six counties of Northern Ireland and the three border counties in the Republic of Ireland. Together these make up the historic province of Ulster.

Each year the staff at the Foundation answer thousands of genealogical enquiries. Since 1956 over 12,000 detailed reports into family history have been completed for clients from all over the world. Our small team of searchers have, between them, over 150 years of experience in carrying out intensive research into family history.
