Historical Gleanings from the Parish of Magilligan

Guild member, Mr Bobby Forrest, has produced an excellent source guide entitled, Historical Gleanings from the Parish of Magilligan, County Derry, 1600–1800. More

 

New books

The Foundation is pleased to announce new titles:

The Corporal and the Celestials by James Hutchinson, a brilliant soldier's travelogue with unique photographs of China in the early twentieth century. Also two reprints including: Docwra's Derry: A Narration of events in North-west Ulster 1600-1604 by Sir Henry Docwra, first published by UHF in 2003; and a new edition of the Funeral Register of the First Presbyterian Church in  Belfast 1700-36 edited by Jean Agnew. This popular genealogical title, full of names of early Belfast residents, was first published in 1995.

 

Ballymoney Family History Festival 2009

The Ballymoney Borough Council Cultural Services Unit is currently researching the possibility of hosting a genealogy festival during the summer of 2009.  The idea would be to help people across the world that are researching their Ballymoney roots and give them an opportunity to meet and share their knowledge and experience. More
