Welcome

The 2012 Ulster Genealogy & Migration Studies Autumn School follows on from the success of the inaugural Autumn School in October 2011 when we had participants from as near as the island of Islay off the west coast of Scotland and as far away as Hawaii.

The Autumn School will run from the 7th to the 13th of October 2012 and once again will be based in Omagh, County Tyrone.

Want to learn more about your Ulster ancestors?

If you are interested in finding out more about your Ulster ancestors, their lives here and their migration experiences, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. During the week you will be able to carry out research for yourself as well as learn more about Ulster’s migration history first hand through excursions to some of the province’s most historic sites. In the evenings you can relax and enjoy some entertaining and enlightening talks and discussions.

This is an outstanding program with excellent resource leaders. It is friendly and personal, with attention to individual needs. The program is varied and always interesting, with a nice mix of learning about Northern Ireland and migration, seeing the beautiful landscape, and exploring the towns, with opportunity for personal research. We really loved it!
